January 14 was my first day on the job, at ASU Publications. Mr.Ervin explained to my responsibilities and upcoming task that we will have, including an international student project, black history month campaign and Women’s history. I also declared a permanent work schedule totaling in 20 hours a week. During my time in the office I researched multiple different alumni for black history month facts. With this research I began to compile a list for a ASU black history month campaign. This campaign will feature honorable ASU alum who were the first to do something or excelling in their career. Later during the week i was assigned to cover the international student affairs. I worked with the student photographer to gather photos of students, interviewed students, and spoke with several different attendees to get views and quotes regarding the event. My story was then posted in the events section of the Alabama State University official website.

Following the international event, I was assigned to draft an email to send out to the international students who will make up the international students campaign. Within the email included a date, location, time and questions that will complete their feature on the ASU website.
